Teaching

The opportunity to teach grants the ability to share knowledge, expertise, and love I have gained through my education in mathematics. Teaching also extends into mentorship, in which one can challenge the extents of the students' knowledge to prepare them for the next stage of their career. This page contains more about my teaching philosophy and pedagogy throughout my career as an educator.

Teaching Experience: A list of all courses I have taught and course descriptions provided by NC State course catalog

Sample Syllabus: Spring 2022 course syllabus for MA 401: Applied Differential Equations II.

Sample Tests: First test shown was test 4 for MA 241: Calculus II in Spring 2020. Second test shown was the final exam for MA 401 in Spring 2022.

Sample Lecture Notes: Instructor notes in the spring 2022 MA 401 course. These notes were used for multiple lessons on Fourier transforms to solve PDEs on an infinite domain, with a sidestep into the 1-D heat equation and the corresponding heat kernel/Green's function.

Course Evaluations: Quantitative results for some semesters, and student comments for all semesters in which I have been the instructor of record at NC State. Note that in Fall 2020, MA 141: Calculus I instructors were required to follow lecture videos made by another professor.
